At the age of 8, Dean lost his leg following an injury during a game of football.
During a game of football, Dean was kicked on the ankle which turned into a cancerous lump. To stop the cancer spreading, doctors decided to remove his leg from the knee down.
Dean's passion for football spurred on his recovery and he went on to become the Sports Officer of the Limbless Association where he runs fitness and football sessions for amputees.
If you or someone you know has been affected by Dean's story speak to the Limbless Association who provide help and support to amputees and the limb-loss community.
