Napper's shockingly savage serial murders of three women and a child in South-East London left a nation in shock.
This British serial killer is infamously linked with the case of Rachel Nickell. A paranoid schizophrenic with Aspergers Syndrome, Napper's background was troubled and dysfunctional. Exposed to domestic violence at a young age and suffering bullying at school, Napper's sense of belonging to society was ultimately destroyed after a sexually abusive attack aged 12 left him withdrawn and isolated, fuelling his psychotic tendencies. Napper is thought to have carried out as many as 70 savage attacks, only ever admitting to four. He is held indefinitely in Broadmoor Hospital.
