What would a murder victim tell you about their final moments if they could? The voices of the dead DO come to life in this true-crime series, which offers a unique look at some of America's most shocking murders. Really's brand new real life crime series, Final Witness, is a compelling hybrid of documentary and drama, featuring interviews with witnesses, prosecutors, law enforcement, family and friends, along with riveting scripted scenes, which thrust viewers into the heart of each crime.
Each of the seven episodes will examine one case from start to finish, taking viewers inside the murder from the victim's point of view. There's the story of Addie Hall and Zack Bowen, two charismatic characters from the New Orleans' French Quarter. A free spirit who wrote poetry and taught dance, Addie was on the run from an unsettling, troubled past. Zack wasn't just the beloved bartender and talented musician known throughout the Quarter, but a veteran scarred by his time in Kosovo and Iraq. Zack and Addie fell in love just weeks before Hurricane Katrina. But when New Orleans PD responded to a 911 call from the Omni Hotel in 2006, their volatile romance had come to an untimely end.
Someone has fallen eight stories from the rooftop terrace. Officers arrive and find the dead, broken body of a handsome young man. In his pocket is a note sealed in a Ziploc bag. It begins: "This is not an accident. I had to take my own life to pay for the one I took..."
These are just some of the shocking crimes Final Witness will explore. Will you be watching?
