1. NAME OF COMPETITION:
Most Haunted Fan Competition
2. METHOD OF ENTRY & COMPETITION TERMS:
The Entrants that show the most enthusiasm and eloquence when answering one of the below questions about the UKTV programme "Most Haunted" (the "Programme") will win.
To enter the entrant must create and submit a video answering one of the questions below.
Why do you love Most Haunted?
What's your Most Haunted viewing routine?
Why are you interested in the paranormal?
To enter via Twitter the entrant must upload the Video with the hashtag #MostHauntedFanTakeover as a comment on the "call to action" Twitter post.
To enter via Facebook the entrant must upload the Video as a comment on the 'call to action' Facebook post (each an "Entry").
Entries on Twitter without #MostHauntedFanTakeover will not count as an Entry. Videos posted on Twitter and Facebook anywhere other than the specified post will not count as an Entry.
The Competition is open from the time the tweet or Facebook post is published on Friday 24th November 2017 and closes on Monday 27th November at 23.59 inclusive (the "Competition Period").
3. SPECIFIC RESTRICTIONS:
All entrants must be 16 years of age or over at the date of Entry and resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. Multiple entries will be accepted. Employees of UKTV and their immediate families are not eligible to enter the Competition. Any entries received outside of the Competition Period (for whatever reason) will be invalid.
Any entry that is unclear, incomplete, defaced, corrupt, illegal or misdirected will not be accepted. UKTV accepts no responsibility for lost entries, and proof of transmission entry will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
UKTV accepts no liability for any invalid, incomplete entries or entries not received by UKTV. No 'bots' or similar automated third- party software will be allowed and anyone found using such software will disqualified. Any alternative entrants will be selected according to these terms and conditions.
Entries must not contain profanities or anything that could be viewed as indecent, inappropriate, defamatory, unlawful, offensive or represent a danger to health and safety. Any entry that is found, at any time, to breach these T&C's or that otherwise contains prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by UKTV, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. UKTV shall have the right to remove an Entry from any and all online platforms at their discretion.
Entries must not contain any branded clothing, branded props or music in any form.
The Video must be shot in landscape and be 30-60 seconds long.
Winners may be subject to a successful DBS background check to be carried out by UKTV. Winners must be fully cooperative with anything UKTV requires to carry out such checks or they may forfeit their prize.
The Winner will be subject to signing a contributor release agreement and a self-declaration form supplied by UKTV after the Competition Period.
4. WINNER SELECTION:
After the close of the Competition Period, an independent judge, or a panel that includes at least one independent judge, will select 4 Videos of Entrants who answer on of the above questions a about the UKTV programme, "Most Haunted" with the most enthusiasm and eloquence. Any entries received outside of this Competition Period (for whatever reason) will be invalid. The decision by the judging panel(s) is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
There will be 4 prize winners (the "Winners"). The Winners' Videos will appear in a promotional trail of the programme, "Most Haunted" which will be broadcast across the UKTV network and on UKTV social media sites, in the first quarter of 2018.
A promotional trail "Promo" is a form of commercial advertising used in broadcast media, either television or radio, that is used to promote a programme, airing on a television or radio station to the viewing or listening audience.
The Winners will be awarded at our discretion and no prize will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of an entrant. No alternative prize will be given and the prize is non-transferable & non-exchangeable.
However, we reserve the right to change the prize due to circumstances beyond our control or to offer an alternative of similar value. Nothing in these terms and conditions in any way limits UKTV's (or any other person or organisation's) liability for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. It is your responsibility and to assess whether the prize is suitable for you and to read any instructions associated with the Prize.
Entrants will be notified via a reply to their Video entry post on Twitter or on Facebook that they have won. Winners should direct message UKTV on the same platform they entered on to claim their prize. They should respond to the e-mail address UKTV provides with proof of ID and the signed contributor release and self-declaration forms by 10am on the 4th December at the latest.
Winners will also be publicly announced on the Really Twitter and Facebook page in accordance with clause 7 below.
6. METHOD OF ENTRY:
Entry is free of charge via Twitter at @reallychannel and on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/reallytvchannel/. All entrants must have the Internet service or mobile device bill payer's permission prior to entering.
Entry to the Competition gives UKTV the right, without separate consent or compensation, to publicise any Winners' names and counties and to make further use of these in printed publications and on the Internet solely for administering this Competition in accordance with applicable law.
8. PROMOTER AND PRIZE PROVIDER:
These competitions are offered to you by UKTV Media Limited ("UKTV"). 'Our registered office is at 10 Hammersmith Grove, London, W6 7AP and our company registration number is 04266373.
By entering this Competition you are submitting your details to UKTV and not to Twitter, Inc. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Twitter, Inc.
9. GOVERNING LAW:
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
